Below you will find a lineup of this year's festivities. We hope you can make it out to celebrate in the Irish Capital of Nebraska!

Sunday,
March 10th

  • 5:00 pm - North Central Nebraska Arts Council presents the "2024 Mr. Irish Pageant" at the O'Neill High School "Old" Gym. Admission will be Free Will Donation. Come see who will win the highly sought after title of 2024 Mr. Irish!

Wednesday,
March 13th

  • 5:30 pm – Irish Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony at the corner of 4th and Douglas streets - in case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Handlebend Building

  • 6:00 pm - O'Neill Chamber of Commerce Awards Presentation at the corner of 4th and Douglas streets - in case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Handlebend Building

  • 6:00 pm - Sign up begins for 5th Annual Chug Run at the Historic Golden Hotel. This will also be the starting line for the race at 7 pm.

  • 6:00 pm - Irish Walk of Fame Free Will Pork Feed at the Handlebend Building

  • 6:30 pm – Ren and Red at Handlebend

  • 7:00 pm - Irish Chug Run starts at the Golden Hotel

  • 8:00 pm - Chug Run Awards and Irish Walk of Fame Auction at Handlebend. Auctioning an exclusive set of Handlebend mugs with the second annual design to the highest bidder. Proceeds will be donated to the Irish Walk of Fame. Let's raise a bunch of money for them! Cheers fellow Irishmen!

  • 9:00 pm - Dave Merkel at Neko’s Pub at 122 S. 4th Street

  • Green Mules will be served at Handlebend all day

  • Schneider concessions will be at the corner of 5th and Douglas selling funnel cakes, fried oreos, corn dogs and more

Thursday,
March 14th

  • 5:00 - 7:00 pm - Stracke Realty will be set up at Handlebend giving away some snacks and koozies

  • 5:30 pm - Miles from Dublin performing Irish Music at the O'Neill Community Center - come have a free will donation Reuben Sandwich with chips and bar while enjoying traditional Irish Music, sponsored by the O'Neill Friends of the Library. Knights of Columbus will have a cash bar available.

  • 7:00 - 9:00 pm - Trivia Night - St. Pat's Edition at Handlebend - sign up at Handlebend.com/trivia - free entry prizes to the 1st through 3rd place winners

  • Green Mules will be served at Handlebend all day

  • Schneider concessions will be at the corner of 5th and Douglas selling funnel cakes, fried oreos, corn dogs and more

Friday,
March 15th

  • 7:00 am to 9:00 pm - Teal’s Westside Dining will be open, then reopening at midnight for your dining needs! Located west of O’Neill on Highway 20

  • 10:00 am - Chamber Coffee at Pinnacle Bank

  • 2:00 pm - Rural Workforce Housing Groudbreaking Ceremony on West Kros Drive, sponsored by O'Neill Development Corp/O'Neill Area Chamber of Commerce

  • 4:30 pm - Greening of the pond at Carney Park, Gil Poese Recreation Area, by the O'Neill Firefighters and O'Neill Fenians

  • 5:00 pm - Knights of Columbus Fish Fry at the KC Hall in west O'Neill

  • 5:00 to 7:30 pm - An Old Fashioned Irish Spudfest - Fresh baked potato bar at the Assembly of God Church at 204 N. 7th Street - Make 'em like you want 'em from a selection of delicious toppings with a dessert and drink for a free will donation

  • 7:00 pm - Getting the Horse Green at Emme’s Shop – 49186 Oliver Rd., O’Neill, NE

  • 7:00 pm - Magician at the O'Neill Methodist Church - Sloppy Joes supper before the show

  • 7:00 pm - Max Winfrey, Stunt Comedian at the O'Neill Community Center, Sponsored by Faith Community Church

  • 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm - DJ Cayleen at Handlebend - She's back for another year!

  • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm –  Holt County Historical Kinkaid Museum will be open (corner of 4th and Douglas) - come by for refreshments, music by Will Otte on the newly donated organ and a vintage clothing display

  • 6:30 am - 11:00 pm –  Handlebend Beer Garden, weather permitting

  • 10:00 am – Shamrock Fun Run, sponsored by the O'Neill Rotary Club

  • 10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Little Disciples Childcare Center will be offering breakfast burritos at the St. Mary's High School Commons Area for Free Will Donation

  • 11:00 am - 402 Beef Burger Stand will be at the corner of 3rd and Douglas Streets south side

  • 11:00 am - 12:30 pm -  Bankfirst Popcorn Stand at the SW corner of 4th and Douglas

  • 11:45 am -  Omaha Pipes and Drums on the World's Largest Shamrock at the corner of 4th and Douglas 

  • 12:00 pm - Irish Dancers on the World’s Largest Shamrock at the corner of 4th and Douglas

  • 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Meet and Greet your Representative and Candidates at the Handlebend Back Room - there will be refreshments available, sponsored by the Nebraska Federated Republican Women 

  • 12:30 pm –  Introduction of the Parade Grand Marshals and the Irish King and Queen on the Shamrock

  • 1:00 pm – Grand Parade through downtown O'Neill

  • 2:00 pm –  Mikah Raymond at Neko's Pub - 122 S. 4th Street

  • 2:00 to 4:00 pm - Kids Carnival at the Solid Rock Youth Center, 415 N. 9th Street, sponsored by C.L.A.S.S

  • 2:00 to 5:00 pm - Leprechaun Leapfest 2024 for Kids at the St. Mary's High School Gym, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus - pay $5 per child for unlimited bouncing! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bouncehouse provided by Spacewalk of Holt County.

  • 4:30 to 8:30 pm - Weston Frank LIVE at Harte’s Pub in Inman – The Shuttle Bus will be running from 3pm to 9pm from The Blarney Stone at the corner of 4th and Douglas

  • 7:00 pm - The Billy Irish at Neko's Pub - 122 South 4th Street

  • 9:00 pm - Good Timin' Karaoke at the Good Timin' Bar - 113 S. 4th Street

  • 9:00 pm - The Ren and Red Show at Neko's Pub - 122 S. 4th Street

  • 9:00 pm - Victory Underground at the SpringLake Angus Center

  • Teal’s Westside Dining will be open all night for your dining pleasure! Located west of O’Neill on Highway 20. When the bars close down you know where to go. Please drink responsibly, check into shuttle options! Don’t drink and drive!

March 17th

  • 6:30 am - 2:00 pm - Handlebend will be open for you to come cure the shenanigans hangover with breakfast, coffee or maybe even the hair of the dog!
